Pu'er tea is named after a small town in China called Pu'er. It is believed that tea workers from the town would purchase leaves from tea growers in the surrounding mountains and press these leaves into brick-shaped cakes. The final product would later be sold throughout the continent. It eventually reached as far as Europe.
When brewed, Pu'er tea is best known for its brownish and earthy flavors. We blended these tea leaves with dried ginger roots in order to give it additional healthy and delicious flavors. Amongst the many health benefits, ginger root has been known for its ability to aid in digestion, reduce cholesterol, and boast immune system.
